Who we are
SICA is a not-for-profit organization operated by a volunteer board of directors and an executive director. Membership is available which offers discounts on classes and art supplies at SICA, a discount on framing at Artistic Impressions in downtown Seymour and is tax deductible.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts to provide art education and enjoyment to the surrounding communities, both in a gallery and studio environment and to draw the attention of the state and surrounding states to the area of Jackson County as an art conscious region.
Location
The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts is located off Highway 11 (Ewing Street) in Rockford. Rockford is located just north of Seymour’s city limit. Look for SICA’s sign on the west side of the highway across from the little white Methodist church.
If you are driving on I-65, use the Seymour-Jonesville exit (exit #55). Drive south on Highway 11 approximately three miles. After you cross the White River you will come to a stop light. Just after the stop light start looking to the right for the SICA sign. If you pass the “Welcome to Seymour” sign, you have gone too far!
