Donating to SICA
As a not-for-profit, membership-supported organization, SICA is very dependent on the support of companies, businesses, private donors, and personal estates. This support is funneled through several funds.
The Community Foundation of Jackson County: Participation in this fund allows SICA to share the growth of the entire Foundation and to be assured a permanent place in the community it serves. Contributions can be made to the Community Foundation (ear-marked for SICA) at P.O. Box 1231, Seymour, IN 47274.
SICA Capital Improvement Fund: SICA's long-range plans include expansion of the facility as well as upgrading existing facilities. This fund was established to keep SICA up to date with accessibility requirements, fire and safety codes, and with program expansion. Contributions can be made directly to SICA, designated for the Capital Improvement Fund.
Memorial or Estate Fund: SICA can be remembered in a will or family trust or by donations made through funeral homes. Contributions can be made to SICA in the name of an individual or family.
Operating Funds: Most contributions are made for the unrestricted use of SICA for its day-to-day needs. They can be made directly to SICA without any specific designation. All contributions are tax deductable, and the SICA staff will acknowledge them with a letter of appreciation which can be used for tax records.
Corporate Donors: Corporations can put in their annual budget a sum of $1,000 to become a corporate donor. The name of their company is printed in our monthly bulletin and mounted on a sign at our front door.
